The 3M™ High Flow CLX Series Competitive Advantage
Excess particulate can cause abrasion and short life on pumps, seals, O-rings, and valves, while excess chlorine and chloramine residual can cause unpleasant-tasting beverages. Chloramines are known to be corrosive and can damage any equipment using water such as steamers, combi-ovens, coffee and tea brewers, and espresso machines. Coffee, soft drinks and ice made from water containing chloramine and chlorine can have an off-taste and odor, giving your customers a poor dining experience.
It’s not uncommon for municipalities to change from chlorine to chloramine and vice versa, which could impact the quality of your business’s water and expensive restaurant equipment. Municipalities use multiple methods to treat their drinking water, with chlorine and chloramine being the most prevalent. Unfortunately, the effects of these chemicals may impact the quality of your beverages and ice, as well as damage your expensive equipment.
Standard water filtration solutions can help you reduce one or the other, but the 3M High Flow CLX Series provides a single filtration solution for both chloramine and chlorine removal, whether your municipality uses chloramine or chlorine to treat your water.
