3M™ Food Services CFS517 Scale Reduction Filter

The CFS517 is a popular replacement cartridge that is compatible with use with the CFS8000 series, providing a low-cost, high-quality alternative to other 8000 series filters. It reduces sediment, chlorine odor/taste, dirt, and rust, and is efficient in reducing the deposition of scaling salts that often ruin water pipes and water-using kitchen appliances.

At a 5-micron rating, the CFS517 cartridge is comprises of granular activated carbon, which has been compressed in a block, with the block performing as both the sediment and chlorine absorbent.

The CFS517 is a replacement filter for the CFS8000 series and the discontinued CFS6000 and CFS7000.
